The company's support of the local community can be seen not only in its gold sponsorship of the Cypress Festival but also in its holiday display of a monumental American flag on the boulevard-side of its landmark glass-walled headquarters building at 10701 Los Alamitos Blvd., opposite Ganahl Lumber in Los Alamitos.
Southland recently completed a make-over of its ground floor branch office that included installation of a photo mosaic legacy wall featuring historical photos of local people and sights.
New customers of Southland who sign up at the Festival will get a turn in the credit union's money booth, with a chance to grab at swirling dollars until time runs out.
Southland will also make a photo booth available to anyone wishing a whimsical souvenir.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available for other businesses, organizations, and individuals interested in supporting the Cypress Festival. The deadline for sponsors wishing to receive acknowledgement in printed materials for their support of this year's Festival has already passed. There is no deadline for sponsors to receive online acknowledgement, which goes on throughout the year.
The Cypress Community Festival will be held at Oak Knoll Park located at 5700 Orange Ave. in Cypress on Saturday, July 28th. This huge annual event is free to the public and includes a car show, chili and salsa contest and continuous entertainment on four stages.
